With simple words and colorful illustrations, this book helps children discover how the Bible tells one beautiful story-leading to Jesus's life in the New Testament. Each page helps children see how Jesus was always part of God's Big Plan, from the very beginning-way before he was born as a baby in a manger. This book will take you on a journey through the Old Testament, showing 16 amazing ways that Jesus was talked or hinted about-even though he hadn't been born yet, and his name wasn't mentioned. Through stories, God gave pictures of our Savior who was to come and live many years later. The Bible has two big parts-one is called the Old Testament, and the other is the New Testament. The Old Testament tells how God made the world and chose a special group of people called the Israelites. He gave them loving rules to help them live the right way and stay close to him. The Old Testament has many exciting stories about people like Adam and Eve, Noah, Moses, David, Solomon, Ruth, Jonah, and Isaiah-and it hints at someone very special who would be later be coming to earth -Jesus Christ. The New Testament begins with the birth of that special person-Jesus! It tells how Jesus came to show God's love and made a way for us to be close to God forever.
