Amid this chaos, Melody Furukawa recovers from the virus and finds to her horror, her beloved husband Bruce, has contracted the virus and is now confined to a hospital ward where the new "Death Jury" in Colorado, demands Bruce's vivisection in a desperate search for a cure, and also, to not be a drain on the already broken system.
