Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. REX NOSTER INSANIT - In 1788, this terse Latin diagnosis, "Our King is insane" was sent by a physician without ever having seen the royal patient. King George III was one of the longest reigning monarchs in British history. He was industrious in his work and eloquent in his speech. George was a respected monarch, a loyal husband, and a loving father, but he was, on occasion, burdened with a horrible affliction, prompting many to say he was insane. This historically inspired tale seeks to tell the story from his majesty's peculiar perspective and address the difficult subject of mental illness. Included with this mildly fantastical story is a rich history of the Hanoverian monarchs from George I to Queen Victoria along with informative guides concerning the monarchs of the United Kingdom & Hanover, geography, the titles & styles of British & Holy Roman Imperial peerage, Roman numerals, et cetera. Presented with the greatest respect for our good King George III and the noble House of Hanover, and written with Victorian stylistic flair using period typography and engravings by historian D. R. Rivers. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
