Some edge and corner wear particularly to the bumped top of spine and bottom spine. Some creases along side of spine. Jacket has considerable wear and tear with 1 3/4 inch tear at front bottom and a 1.25 inch tear and fraying along top edge. Two under 1 inch tears on back near to a big chip missing at spine and back - 1.25 inch by .33 inch. Some small stains on front wrap. Sun-fading to jacket spine. Discoloring to end-papers. Some small tears to top of some leaves. (6).

Unclipped dust jacket, price 6/- net, remains in good condition with several chips/tears mostly at edges. This 1st edition published in 1947 is in very good condition.
