Pietri 1915) e ne furono fatte almeno tre versioni cinematografiche (1918, 1927 e 1941). L'edizione a stampa di Ivrea del 1928 risulta particolarmente interessante in quanto da pp. 96 a 120 sono raccolti una serie di articoli apparsi sulle maggiori testate giornalistiche in seguito alla scomparsa dei due autori. Copia pregiata dalla dedica autografa del padre di Sandro Camasio (scomparso nel 1913) al Conte Teofilo Rossi, già senatore del Regno e a quel tempo sindaco di Torino, nonché futuro ministro dell'Industria e del Commercio con il governo Mussolini: «Al Conte Teofilo Rossi uno dei più entusiastici ammiratore della commedia . Offre l'inconsolabile Papà Camasio». Normale brunitura alle carte e ai tagli e qualche traccia di sporco alla brossura; strappo al frontespizio e piccolo strappo al piatto anteriore, ma nel complesso ottimo esemplare Edizione Viassone del 1914 dell'operetta «Addio giovinezza!» scritta nel 1911 dallo scrittore, sceneggiatore e poeta Nino Oxilia - che da lì a poco sarebbe morto durante la difesa della linea del Monte Grappa nel corso della Prima Guerra Mondiale - e dallo scrittore e regista Sandro Camasio, morto a causa di una meningite nel 1913 prima che il presente volume vedesse la luce. Al suo ricordo e al padre di Camasio è dedicata la commossa prefazione al libro di Salvator Gotta: « [.] ho raccolto "Addio giovinezza!" in volume per un uomo cui il destino più feroce strappò d'un sol colpo il figlio e la figlia adorati e sopravvive come un segnacolo di dolor silenzioso e non ha, per la sua fede nella vita, altro retaggio che un ricordo e questo pugno di carta. La vicenda goliardica, su motivi di scapigliata allegria e di crepuscolare mestizia, è stata per parecchi decenni l'emblema letterario più persuasivo della vita studentesca: e la sua vitalità ebbe conferma quando Giuseppe Pietri la adattò a libretto per la nota operetta omonima. In anni più recenti, ne apparve una riuscita edizione cinematografica.
