Ihre Behandlung in den Anfangskapiteln ist als Grundlage für eine vereinfachende Diskussion in den nachfolgenden, vorwiegend den kinetischen Systemen direkt gewidmeten Kapiteln gedacht. Die Aufnahme einer Anzahl ausgearbeiteter Beispiele und Aufgaben soll dem Leser dazu verhelfen, sein Gefühl für den Anwendungsbereich und die relative Leistungsfähigkeit der einzelnen verfügbaren Auswertungsmethoden zu entwickeln.
