Otherwise binding is slightly brittle but still functional. Moderate rubbing to the edges and corners of the coverboards. Head of the spine has two small tears where they meet the front and back coverboards.

Unusual binding with pages folded at top and uncut. Thus an illustrated page faces the text page both with blank backs connected at the top. Delightful and touching story and drawings of a mischievious but devoted black Scottie dog.
