"Chinese snuff-bottle enthusiasts have long known about the J & J Collection , which belongs to Julie and Jim Li and which is the subject of this book. Its nucleus was formed by lim's father, Li Dizun (Ti-tsun Li, 1901-1981), who served as Chinese Ambassador in a number of different posts in Central and South America. Some of the bottles from this early collection (a full list of which is given in the index) were exhibited in Havana in 1945 and in Santiago in 1968."
