The Avocado Cookbook, one of the earliest cookbooks to focus on this fruit. In October, 1967 the "News for Farmers Cooperatives" published this blurb. "The Avocado Cookbook, including over 600 ways to prepare and serve the avocado, was introduced to southern California's newspaper, radio and television editors and entertainment personalities at a special avocado smorgasbord, with all courses drawn from the new book. .It's purpose is to demonstrated that the avocado is much more than just another salad fruit.
