Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Very heavy book may incur extra postal charges if ordered from overseas. No dust jacket. Front free end paper has been torn out, there is some bumping to the corners of the boards and a little tanning to the pages.

Cloth. Zustand: Fair. No Jacket. Board and spine edges sunned and chipped, tape mark to front board, shaken, gutters cracked, closed edges a little grubby, tanned and spotted, lacks ffep, some foxing, pages generally clean and bright. Size: Folio.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. Grey cloth with dark teal titling, very good with light edgewear, and a thin faint margin of toning along top and bottom edges. Spine square. Binding sound. Dust jacket good in Mylar, scuffed and toned, with moderate edgewear including numerous tiny closed tears and crumpling at spine ends. Longer closed tear (about 1.5-inch) from bottom edge of DJ front panel, reinforced at verso with tape repair. Pages bright, text unmarked. With 150 illustrations, including printed black-and-white images and full-color tipped-in plates.

Faint dampstain on topedge of pages and top and bottom cloth corners, very light scattered spotting to the endpapers, corners a trifle bumped, good only in a good only dust jacket with light dampstain along edges, spine and edges tanned with short tears. From the library of the artists Ben Shahn and Bernarda Bryson Shahn, with an estate label designed by their son, Jonathan Shahn.
