The endpapers have maps of the River Blackwater estuary. v, 215pp. This book describes the adventures that the author had in this boat and in doing so also details the lives of those sailing the East Coast fishing smacks and the history of boats themselves. He writes about the time between the two wars and hence conveys a way of life that is now apparently lost forever.
