Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Small tears to some page edges, text remains unaffected. Front free endpaper to Common Prayer cut out with pencil inscription to rear free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Chipping to leather to spine. Slipcase has moderate edge wear with markings to panels and scuffing to edges.

Firmly bound gilt decorated embossed black leather binding, gilt metal board outer edges with gilt metal clasp, some rubbing and wear on the cover, quite heavy on the spine, front external edge of the spine starting to split, front free end paper removed so book starts at the title page.

Diamond 48 edition. A small ( each volume is approx 3.5 inches tall & 2 inches wide , the pair together 1.5 inches thick ) liturgical & devotional set, nicely typset in a miniscule font. 225 grams.

Each has an owner's inscription "Eliza Smith February 23rd 1842" in ink on the front free end-paper. End-papers in cream. The contents are clean and very good for their age. A very nice example of early Victorian Anglicanism. UNCOMMON.
