Sergeant Major Joe R. Garner served for twenty seven years in the U.S. military, including twenty-one hears of continuous active duty in the Special Forces. He received the Bronze Star, the Air Medal, and numerous other medals, including decorations from the governments of Indonesia, the Republic of South Vietnam, and Laos. Avrum M.
