Unclipped dust jacket with gorgeous Silas illustration has considerable edge wear with chipping, creasing, tears and sections of paper loss, more on rear cover and spine, less so front cover not too bad & book is priced accordingly. This book is dedicated to the author's brother, Ronald Gregory Walker, who was killed aloft aboard the full-rigged ship "Grace Harwar", between New Zealand and Cape Horn. Ronald was sailing with Allan Villiers and their story is told in Villier's book, "By way of Cape Horn". A very good copy in very good dust jacket.; 210 x 155mm; xii, 219 pages.
