Clipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Brown paper to reinforce jacket to insides. Rubbed marking overall.

Some offsetting to endpapers, closed tears, faint stamp at free front endpaper, owner's details penned at title page and upper margin of preface. pencilled note at p11 and note and illustration opposite, pencilled marginalia lines on other pages. Water stain to upper edge of first few plates with light crinkling to plate opposite p120. Some silverfish damage to free back endpaper and rear pastedown. Contents clear and legible.
