Cuts throughout. 8vo. 10-5/8" x 7-3/8…" Superb post-fire boosterism for the city. Many of the woodcuts promote the famous Palmer House, billed as the "Only fire-proof Hotel in the United States." [NB. The back side of the folding map depicts the 3rd Palmer House]. Many other interesting features of the city are highlighted herein, I especially found fascinating the full page wood engraving showing "The Large Engine at the Water Works." [p. 30]. Wear, age-toning & soiling to wrappers. Chipping to backstrip. Age-toning to text paper. An About VG copy. Green paper wrappers, title printed in red, cuts & amplifying text in black.
