Leather mostly faded to brown (except for middle of rear board), front inner hinge, formerly cracked, repaired with archival glue, and the front free endpaper, which has a piece missing, re-hinged. The rear paste-down has red crayon doodling, rather neatly following the pattern of the marbling on the endpaper. Thin partial crack at the front outer joint. Nearly very good, and despite all defects, internally clean; still a nice gift.
