'It's original, it's funny . . . one of life's little pleasures.' One of the top ten most watched shows of the decade.THERE'S BARELY TIME FOR CONSTABLE NICK TO CATCH HIS BREATHThe work of Britain's most popular copper is never done. Constable Nick's happy beat in the North Yorkshire moors takes a watery turn when a bevy of bathing beauties causes a disturbance in local waterways. Meanwhile, he has to cope with an array of eccentric characters: a postman who can't read, a helpful woman who steals from the elderly people in her care, and a delightful small-time villain called Tin Lid Talbot. Plus, between winning an aged tin of sardines in a local raffle and getting first prize at the local whist drive, he's in danger of upsetting the villagers. As Constable Nick continues his entertaining career, there's plenty to be getting on with.'Stories of a constable on his village beat in North Yorkshire. All very gentle and far, far removed from the hurly burly of modern-day city policing.'
