The book also treats digital implementation of controllers at an early stage. Nonlinear phenomena are discussed, but the focus is on linear descriptions. As is traditional, mainly finite-dimensional linear systems are discussed, but where possible, generalizations have also been made to infinite-dimensional systems. This means that systems with time delays are treated in a rigorous way. Fundamental limitations in control are discussed separately in a concluding chapter. The book also contains an introduction to reinforcement learning.
