Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fine. 1st Edition. Morley, MO: Acclaim, 2009. 1st edition, inscribed by Winn on FFE, plus a signed type-written letter laid-in, F/F. Book and dust jacket have very little wear. Illustrated with b & w photos, chart and 6 maps. Includes footnotes, bibliographies (pro & con), documents and index. Gives a full account of why the use of the atomic bomb was, in the end, undoubtedly the better choice. Fairly gruesome text, but necessary to clarify the arguments. Nice copy. Inscribed by Author(s).

Raymond Gilbert "Ray" Davis (January 13, 1915 - September 3, 2003) was a United States Marine Corps four-star-general who had served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Davis was awarded the Medal of Honor. Judge Winn was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on September 19, 1921. He entered the military service as a Naval Aviation Cadet in November 1942 and graduated as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Air Corps. His active duty ended December 1945 as a 1st Lieutenant. He obtained the rank of Major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. During World War II he deployed to the Marianas Islands and flew night fighter missions out of Guam. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals. His greatest passion was to educate the world on Truman's decision to end World War II with the use of the atomic bomb. He authored several books on this subject with the late General Raymond Davis (Medal of Honor recipient and Past Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps). The authors state that the atom bomb was 100% correct. It ended the rape, torture, killing contests, cannibalism, and murder of 30,000,000 civilian men, women and children by the Japanese. This true account of history will tell you why all Americans should have a clear conscience about the bomb. D-Day Japan - V-J Day - The Atom Bomb: they are only a small part of the poorly recorded, distorted and obliterated history of World War II in Asia and the Pacific. This book will show the unbelievable loss of life and horrors of what would have been D-Day in Japan, which was prevented by the atomic bomb, and V-J Day well before D-Day Japan.
