As a result of no centralized authority it is prone various collaborative attacks. This study focuses on wormhole attack which is one of the most sophisticated and severe attacks in MANET. In this attack, a pair of colluding attackers record packets at one location and replay them at another location using a private high speed network. In this the colluding nodes create an illusion that two remote regions of a MANET are directly connected through nodes that appear to be neighbours but are actually distant from one another.
