In den WarenkorbHard Cover. Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. Publisher's Jade (blue-green cloth) with bright red lettering to the front board and spine. Published on 14 February 1935 at 2/6 net. The dustwrapper (featuring Psmith aged about 30) is a full-colour illustration by J. H. Hartley. The back panel has an advertisement for f…ive books. This title was originally the second part of 'Mike' and was published separately in 1935 because it stands alone and introduces the highly popular Psmith. A VG copy (a neat gift inscription to the front free end-paper); a partially-faded spine (more so at the spine tips matching minor chipping to the dustwrapper). A clean interior. The VG dustwrapper is priced 2/6 net to the spine (as called for) and has a slither of loss to the spine ends (masked by laying behind similar colour paper). Quite uncommon these days. McIlvaine A12C. PD. Photographs/scans available upon request.

In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 1st Edition. A good copy of the 1st edition in good to very good contemporary wrapper. This title was originally the second part of 'Mike' and was published separately in 1935 because it stands alone and introduces the highly popular Psmith. The wrapper (which features… a picture of Psmith as if he is around 30), is complete and not price-clipped. There is some nibbling at the top and bottom of the spine with slight loss and similar at the top of the front fold. There are couple of small edge tears at the bottom edge with archive tape repair. The back panel and back fold are slightly grubby. The inside of the wrap has some browning and spotting. The book is clean and sound. The spine and board edges are faded and there is a crease in the middle of the spine at the top. Corners with light wear - more on the bottom corner of the back board. The contents are very clean with light toning to paper and occasional spotting at the page edge.
