Zustand: Good. American Issue. Book is in very good condition. Green leather binding with flora motif on covers and title and author on the spine in white. Ex-Library book with sticker cleanly removed from the spine and card slips removed from inside front cover. The book was rebound by Don R. Phillips of Paragon Bindings. Some toning to the fore edges and a single mark on the top fore edge. Pages have very light toning, but overall very good condition. Description of the book taped down on rear blank.

'Enter Psmith' contains the second half of P. G. Wodehouse's novel 'Mike'. This volume takes place two years after the former part, when the titular character is withdrawn from his school, and taken to a smaller school, whereupon he meets the eccentric Rupert Psmith. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, fine, with very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine. book.

This title was originally the second part of 'Mike' and was published separately in 1935 because it stands alone and introduces the highly popular Psmith. A VG copy (a neat gift inscription to the front free end-paper); a partially-faded spine (more so at the spine tips matching minor chipping to the dustwrapper). A clean interior. The VG dustwrapper is priced 2/6 net to the spine (as called for) and has a slither of loss to the spine ends (masked by laying behind similar colour paper). Quite uncommon these days. This title was originally the second part of 'Mike' and was published separately in 1935 because it stands alone and introduces the highly popular Psmith. The wrapper (which features a picture of Psmith as if he is around 30), is complete and not price-clipped. There is some nibbling at the top and bottom of the spine with slight loss and similar at the top of the front fold. There are couple of small edge tears at the bottom edge with archive tape repair. The back panel and back fold are slightly grubby. The inside of the wrap has some browning and spotting. The book is clean and sound. The spine and board edges are faded and there is a crease in the middle of the spine at the top. Corners with light wear - more on the bottom corner of the back board. The contents are very clean with light toning to paper and occasional spotting at the page edge.

The top of the front inside flap has been clipped, and the rear inside flap is blank. The charcoal drawing by Anderson covers the front and rear panels of the dustjacket as well as the jacket's spine with fascinating characters from the novel (see photo). With light rubbing and wear to the top and bottom of the spine ends and the corners. Overall, a very handsome, collectible copy of this Wodehouse rarity.
