Complete with 224 plates: 75 plates, one in color, in volume I, 73 plates in volume II, and 76 plates and two woodcuts in volume III - Volume III contains History and antiquities of the Vicars' Close, Wells, Sommersetshire (London, 1836), The Manor House and Church at Great Chalfield, Wiltshire (London, 1837),the Manor House at South Wraxhall, and the Church of Saint Peter at Beddestone, Wiltshire (London, 1838). All bindings are heavily rubbed and all book blocks with foxing throughout. Binding of volume I with cover separated, spine with one and a half inch chip at head and closed tear in middle; spine attached to back cover with transparent tape. Ex-library.
