Bensley for his notable achievements in the field of histochemistry. This special symposium presented at the University of Chicago on November 13, 1942, was limited to the theme of the physical and chemical organization of the cytoplasm, the principal subject of the investigations of Dr. Bensley and his students for the past decade.
