Text pages 29-48 and title pages missing, from 64pp text. Boards present, text disbound from case and just a loosely bound collection of raggedy sheets. Seems Quite scarce and the coloured maps although quite simple for children are accurate and unusually all are marked with distances to London in 1,000 mile bands. Offered in the hope of interest either in the maps separately, as spare parts, reference value or for its scarcity. Published as part of the Royal School Series along with Dr Collier's History of the British Empire, junior, senior and advanced class books. The leather spine exists as strips of flappy bits not joined but essentially still present. The dark taupe boards have a moire effect, all quite worn.
