Der Prozess dieser 12 stufigen Zerlegung resultiert in 8190 Streifen, wobei die Breite jedes Streifens der Breite des originalen Bildes entspricht. Mit jeder Stufe der Zerlegung werden die Streifen zunehmend dünner (ein Streifen der 12ten Zerlegung ist 0,08 mm).
