First edition of this fast-paced Western set in a raucous Amarillo, TX with "Galloping Barry," a "sliver-built, saddle-warped bronco buster" fighting off "a pack of bad hombres" and pursuing the skilled gun-toting Molly Mary "because she has a fine hand with horses and can strike out square and hard in danger." Yore (1875-1936) joined the Texas Rangers in 1890, worked as cowpuncher, packer, stage driver, and prospector, followed the Klondike Gold Rush as a journalist, fought in the Spanish-American War, and eventually published 20 Westerns, two books of Western verse, and over 600 short stories.
