Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: As New. 1st Edition. This is an authentic signed first UK edition, first printing copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The book is inscribed by J.K. Rowling in blue ballpoint pen to the dedication page "to David (again!) J.K. Rowling." This is a late 1998 variation of Rowling's signature signed prior to her 1998 American tour. She dispensed with using periods between the J and K in her signature in mid-1998 and this book was signed just afterwards as she developed a more fluid signature in order to sign more books faster as the demand grew. This is a beautiful near fine copy without any colour fading, it is clearly unread with sharp corners and a tight binding. The page edges are surprisingly white and crisp, there isn't the usual toning which is almost always the case. Internally there are no ownership inscriptions, no dog eared pages and no marks of any kind. There is however some minor bruising to the spine tip and spine base which the only reason we are calling this a near fine condition book. The original unclipped first edition, first-state dust jacket is in pristine condition with full colours and no creasing or shelf wear. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theharrypotterspecialist the world s leading expert in authenticating Jo s signature. This book comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Included is a blue quarter leather clamshell box with gold gilt lettering to the spine. HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER S STONE , UK SIGNED FIRST EDITION, FOURTH PRINT, AND HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS , UK SIGNED FIRST EDITION SEVENTH PRINT BOX SET. Joanne (Kathleen) Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone (1997), UK first edition, fourth printing, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998), UK first edition, seventh printing. Both books published by Bloomsbury in the first issued box set. Both volumes are signed by author J.K. Rowling on the respective half-title pages as shown. Chamber of Secrets is in addition inscribed to Johnny According to Philip Errington s J.K. Rowling: A Bibliogarphy (2017), the first Philosopher printing had a print run of only 500 copies; the second printing followed quickly with a run of 1,000 copies, followed by the third and fourth printing of 500 copies each only (p.4). Condition: Philosopher is as in new condition. The dust jacket is NOT price clipped and a beautiful specimen, unfaded and showing the young wizard as called for. Chamber of Secrets is in as new condition The box is in near fine condition with only trivial shelf wear to the base. This was the first box set that Bloomsbury published for the Harry Potter Saga. As more and more Harry Potters were published until 2007 the publisher eager to capitalise on Potter-mania isuued a new box set containing the latest book together with the volumes that had already been published. A nice set at fair value and genuinely signed by Rowling. Due to the extremely high value of signed UK first hardback first printings editions of The Philosopher s Stone , the early reprints have also become highly collectable and valuable. The value of these books will only increase, probably dramatically, when the new HBO series arrives on our screens in late 2026. Just as a side note, signed Harry Potter Books have outstripped investing in gold, silver, platinum, and diamonds combined. Signed by Author(s).

Soft cover. Zustand: Near Fine. No Jacket. Grandpré, Mary (illustrator). 1st Edition. The books presented here are two later printings of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (43rd printing) and Chamber of Secrets (22nd printing) and a first printing of Prisoner of Azkaban. Each book is signed and inscribed 'To Hamish' who was the son of J.K. Rowling's neighbour when she was living in Abbotsford Park, Edinburgh. These are all 2000 variations of Rowling's signature and were all signed together for Hamish when he was eight years old. He kept the books for 24 years before deciding to sell them in 2024. All three books are in beautiful condition except for clear fading to the spines. Apart from that they are all in fine condition, unread with a tight and square binding and no clear creasing to the spines which is exceptionally rare for paperback books. There are no major creases or bowing at all to the front or back covers but there is the slightest bit of fading of the blue to the top left of the front cover of the second book only. Internally, there is very mild toning to the page edges, as always and is to be expected but no where near as is with most paperback copies. There are no ownership inscriptions or marks of any kind, no dog eared pages, tears or creases at all. Overall these books are in exceptional condition aside from the spine fading. All three signatures come fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theharrypotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. This set comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. This is an extremely rare set of the first three books to find all inscribed with provenance. Zustand: Fine in a fine jacket. GrandPré, Mary (illustrator). First printing. Signed first US edition, first issue, of the second Harry Potter book that introduces readers to "Moaning" Myrtle and Gilderoy Lockhart in addition to Voldemort's alter ego. The books remain formative for millions, including the many readers who reject Rowling's agitations against trans rights. This copy from the personal collection of Mary and Robert Brown, longtime owners of Books, Bytes, and Beyond bookstore in Glen Rock, NJ, who hosted Rowling for an event in October 1999, where this book was signed. Pottermania was just beginning to ramp up on this tour (for PRISONER OF AZKABAN), but had not reach the fevered pitch of later releases and appearances. Due to the strength of the forgery market, Rowling signatures are justifiably suspect. Authentically signed copies with clear provenance, like this one, are therefore more desirable. An excellent example of her early signature. 9'' x 6''. Publisher's orginal green quarter cloth over blue boards. In original unclipped full-color pictorial dust jacket with art by Mary Grandpré. Illustrated throughout in black and white by Grandpré. No "Year 2" on spine; price listed at $17.95. x, 341, [1] pages. Tiny dot sticker to verso of jacket. Bright, clean, sharp, and tight overall.

Levine Books (An Imprint of Scholastic Press). Place: New York (Printed in the USA). Date: Copyright 1999. Description: 341 Pp. 8vo. Signed by Author (Scholastic bookplate adhered to endpaper opposite dedication page. 1/3 publisher's green cloth hardcover, gilt title on spine cover, black/white illustrations head text chapters, protective mylar cover over color illustrated dust jacket. Measures: 1.25 W x 6.5 D x 9.25 H inches. About the work: THE DURSLEYS were so mean and hideous that summer that all Harry Potter wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike. And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny. But each of these seem minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone -- or something -- starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects . Harry Potter himself? (Dust jacket, inside front flap). Condition notes: Fair-Good; book cover wear commensurate with age and use (e.g. damp stained cloth, soiled from handling, boards cloth cover inked), square spine, clean and bright text pages. Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Joanne (Kathleen) Rowling (1997 2007), a full set of all seven Harry Potter UK first edition books, published by Bloomsbury. All are signed by Rowling except the first volume which has a signed bookplate loosely laid in. The books are housed spectacularly in full leather solander boxes for perfect protection, and those in turn placed in a buckram box for easy transport or display on the shelf. No expense has been spared to create the perfect housing environment for the set whilst allowing a beautiful presentation. The set consists of: 1) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (1997), UK hardback first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Comes with a loose Bloomsbury bookplate signed by Rowling; all first edition points present the Wendy Cooling blurb on the front panel; the rear panel bears the typo with an 'o' missing in "Philosopher's" and "Hogwarts School of Wizardy and Witchcraft" instead of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Page 53 lists 'wand' twice as called for. No dust jacket as issued. One of only 500 copies printed of which the majority (300) went into public libraries. This is NOT an ex-library copy. It has been professionally restored (spine tips and boards' corners) by a leading conservationist in the UK and now presents in near fine condition with one closed tear to the first text page as shown. 2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed by Rowling on the title page. In near fine condition as shown 3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. This is the second state with J.K. Rowling credited correctly on the copyright page. Signed by Rowling on the title page and by the dust jacket illustrator Cliff Wright on the opposite page. In near fine condition. 4) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. This is the rarer Scottish variant printed by Omnia. Signed by Rowling on the title page. In very good condition with the page block edges showing ageing 5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2003), UK first edition, first printing. Signed by the author on the title page. Scarce as a signed first edition since Rowling did not do any promotional tour for this title. In very good condition with some ageing/ yellowing to the page block as shown. 6) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed and inscribed by the author "to Mel" on the title page. Exceptionally scarce to find signed as there were no promotional events for this title. 7) Harry Potter the Deathly Hallows (2007), UK first edition, first printing, published by Bloomsbury. Signed and inscribed by Rowling on the title page "to Lindsey". This copy was signed at the only midnight signing event in July 2007. One of only 1,700 copies signed at the event. A wonderful set of all UK hardback first editions, first prints of the seminal Harry Potter series. Presented beautifully with the solander boxes and treasure case. Ideal for a fan, or as in investment which has beaten inflation and the stock market by far over the past 25 years and counting. First and Fine. Signed by Author(s).

Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. Joanne Kathleen Rowling (1997-99) The Harry Potter uncorrected proof collection , published by Bloomsbury in the UK. Beautifully housed in full leather solander boxes as well as a buckram treasure chest which holds all four books in place for easy and displayable storage. The set also comes with one Bloomsbury bookplate signed by Rowling. The set consists of: Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone (1997), UK uncorrected proof, published by Bloomsbury. One of only 200 proof copies printed. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets , (1998), UK uncorrected proof, published by Bloomsbury. One of 300 proof copies printed. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999) first state of the uncorrected proof, published by Bloomsbury. One of only 50 copies printed in purple wraps. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999) second state uncorrected proof, published by Bloomsbury. One of 250 copies printed. Condition: the proofs are in very good to near fine condition with minor creases, rubbing and soiling to the wraps as expected from paperback proofs. Internally clean. All books are housed in full leather solander boxes with five raised bands, author s name, title and uncorrected proof stamped in gild to the spine. The front panels also bear the HP acronym familiar from the film franchise a lovely touch. We have more images to share and welcome direct contact. An amazing collection and unique chance to obtain the only four uncorrected proofs produced in the entire Harry Potter series. When Rowling published the fourth instalment Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000) no proofs were issued as the publisher feared that the text could be leaked. This policy was kept for the remaining books as well and without any spoiler leaks kids and adults were queuing up bookstores at midnight of the respective publication dates in order to obtain a copy and start reading the continuation of the Potter saga. The uncorrected proofs contain a number of errors which were later corrected such as a J.A. instead of J.K. Rowling on the copyright page of the Philosopher s Stone copy. Nowadays J.K. Rowling is such a household name that nobody in the world would make such an error but back in 1997 Rowling was an unknown persona. The bibliographic data was obtained from Philip Errington (2017) J.K. Rowling: A Bibliography. First and Fine. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. An early 18th edition paperback of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, paired with a first print hardback of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, both signed by J.K. Rowling on the dedication page at the City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds, July 1998. The books come with documented provenance, as featured in a comprehensive article in The Star newspaper. Additionally, this set includes a very rare 'Friend of Potter' button. These buttons were distributed by Bloomsbury in early 1998 exclusively to bookstore staff for use during a signing event. According to a reliable source, fewer than 100 were issued. This button has since become a highly collectible item. A handwritten card from the original owner, Dr. Francesca Roe, recounts her experience at the July 1998 reading and signing event in Leeds. Dr. Roe, aged eight at the time, attended the event with her parents and younger brother, Max. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is in near fine condition. The boards are bright and unfaded, with only a hint of bumping at both ends of the spine and the front corner tips. The corners of the back cover are sharp. The binding is firm, the endpapers are clean, and the pages have only minor browning at the edges. There is a small round black spot on pages 38 and 39, and a narrow brown streak on pages 139 and 140. Otherwise, the content is completely clean with no names, inscriptions, dog-eared pages, or other defects. The first-state dust jacket is also near fine. The inner flaps have very light fading along the top edge (around 4 mm), and the corner points are slightly bumped. Other than that, the dust jacket is in excellent condition, with no spine fading, shelf wear, or edge wear. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is in VG condition. The cover has some light creases, with 1 cm of wear at the base of the spine, and the corners are bumped. The first four pages show slight waviness, with a small mark on pages 7 and 46/47, and a stain on the fore edge that lightly extends onto the pages, but no names, inscriptions or other flaws. The scarce "Friend of Potter button" that comes with the books is in a fine condition. Fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist and includes a Letter of Authenticity (LoA), along with a collector's card containing further interesting details. Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, second impression of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, signed by J.K. Rowling in black pen on the dedication page. The book was signed at Durbay Books on Grafton Street, Dublin, during a private visit J.K. Rowling made in early 1999. At the owner's request, she signed a few copies, one of which was sold that same day to an American tourist, who kept the book for the last 25 years. With a print run of only 200 copies (See 'J.K. Rowling A Bibliography', Phillip W. Errington, Bloomsbury 2017, p. 68) the second impression of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a very scarce book. While signed first impressions of this title are regularly offered, a signed copy of a second printing hardly ever surfases the market. A near fine copy with minor bumped spine ends and corner tips. Inside clean pages, mildly browned to the edges as usual, wIthout dog-ears or scribblings. The book comes in a near fine first State Dust Jacket. Included with the book is a handwritten letter from the previous owner, which narrates the delightful story behind the signing. At the event, the previous owner's youngest daughter was asked by the organizer to present a large plastic flower to J.K. Rowling at the end of her talk. However, as the children were leaving the hall, the young girl forgot to present the flower and instead held onto it tightly as she queued for the signing. J.K. Rowling was so charmed by this that she offered to write a special message in the book, despite her agent's suggestion to only sign her name due to time constraints. Being a book collector, the father respectfully requested just the signature. Fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity and a collector's card with interesting details. This unread copy is in near fine condition, with firm top corners and slightly pushed bottom corners. The spine tip is firm, the spine foot is very lightly pushed. The boards remain sharp with no fading. The interior is completely clean, free of names, inscriptions, dog-ears, or other flaws. The pages are unusually bright with hardly any of the usual browning at the edges. The fine first state dust jacket is without fading, edgewear or shelfwear. Housed in a half-leather clamshell box A wonderful collector's item, combining a rare early signature with a unique and charming backstory. Signed by Author(s).

[Fantasy] ALL FIRST EDITIONS, FIRST PRINTINGS, IN DELUXE BINDINGS, with the three supplemental works. Volume I SIGNED by the artist Thomas Taylor, in black ink to front cover. Together ten volumes, octavo (26 x 17 x 36cm). Original uniform harlequin cloth (7 vols), with gilt decoration, illustrations to upper covers, and all edges gilt (some in shrinkwrap). Additional volumes (3 vols) in publisher's illustrated covers. Volumes II to VII in shrink-wrap, as-new; volume one a fine copy. The deluxe issue is a larger format, in decorative cloth binding. Harry Potter's award-winning wizarding adventures have had an unrivalled impact in popular culture today; indeed, some experts have referred to adults between the ages of roughly 20-30 years old as 'the Harry Potter generation', who are seen to hold markedly different values to their parents. Harry Potter is a series of many genres, including fantasy, bildungsroman, and the British school story (which includes elements of mystery, thriller, adventure, and romance). According to Rowling, the main theme of the books is death although prejudice, corruption, and madness can be seen as dominant motifs.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, first edition, 19th print, paperback; inscribed to the dedication page with the words 'to Marianna from your kind sister and JK Rowling'. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, first edition, second print, hardback: inscribed to the same recipient to the title page with the words: 'to Marianna (again!) with best wishes JK Rowling'. The author has hand-drawn a star after her name, a rare doodle addition from the author. The second print hardback Chamber of Secrets is a very rare impression, existing - according to Rowling's bibliographer Philip Errington - in a run of just 200 copies, making it much scarcer than the first print. The Chamber of Secrets is in very good condition, with no bumps to the boards and still sharp corners. Pushed spine foot; the book has a slight lean. Very clean endpapers; internally very clean, with no marks. No dog-eared pages and no tears. No ownership name. Text block is clean, but toned as is usual. Slight strip of sunning to top edge of the front board. The jacket is not price-clipped and is the correct first state jacket, with the capitalised 'A' in 'Age' on the inner flap. The spine is sunned; strip of sunning to the top edge and fore-edge of front jacket panel and to the top edge of the inflaps. No tears to the jacket; slight toning to the edges of the jacket verso. The Philosopher's Stone has a slight lean; split at bottom of the spine, with part of the paper of the spine curling away, but still present. Sunned spine and a strip along rear panel of jacket alongside spine; creases to the front cover; top right-hand corner is lifting. Laminate is still present. Area of abrasion and of colour loss to the bottom edge of the rear cover. Internally clean with no ownership name; negligible 3mm nick to page 29, all other pages fine. One dog-eared page, other pages fine. Inscribed by Author(s).
