Text block completely detached from the covers. A couple pages with some loss to the text. Final pages detached, or nearly detached. Complete. The New Testament is included under the title of: "The Holy Scriptures of the New Testament, translated and corrected by the spirit of revelation, Joseph Smith, Jr., the Seer." Flake: 465. Joseph Smith worked on his translation of the scriptures during the 1830's. With his death in 1844, the manuscript passed to his wife and it wasn't published until 1867. Though Smith's translations were based on the King James version of the Bible, he altered over 3,000 passages.
