This volume was an office copy at Lea Brothers and Company in Philadelphia as is indicated on the front cover. The publishing company stamped office copies on the title page, " Property of Lea Brothers & Co. Mutilated Copy. " so the item would not be sold. The volume is otherwise clean and tight. It was owned for decades by a pre-eminent medical bibliographer.
