Etroit collaborateur de Marcel Duchamp, l'un des plus grands spécialistes et interprètes de son uvre, Ulf Harald Linde (critique d'art, écrivain et directeur d'institution né en 1929 à Stockholm, membre de l'Académie suédoise) a réalisé des reconstitutions de ses pièces les plus importantes (il est l'auteur de la première copie autorisée de La Mariée mise à nu par ses célibataires, même, 1915-1923). Les répliques de Linde ainsi que ses premiers textes sur Duchamp ont joué un rôle déterminant dans la réception des travaux de Duchamp à l'international et notamment dans l'élaboration d'expositions majeures comme la rétrospective de 1963 par Walter Hopp au Art Museum de Pasadena, ou l'exposition d'ouverture du Centre Pompidou en 1977. Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. Black cloth hardcover lacking dustjacket. A fair only copy - ex-library with all the markings and tags, including "withdrawn" stamps as appropriate. Externally this is a very rough copy. Corners and spine ends bumped and split through the cloth. Back strap is detaching from the binding but still connected at the ends (see photo). Sunning and soil to the rear board. Binding is intact but lacking in tightness, with several gatherings opening quite wide. Pages have minimal library impact (a call number pencilled on the copyright page and a couple of embossed library stamps). 95 pp., b/w representations of Duchamp's ready-mades - found object art.

Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
