Erstausgabe
Hardcover. First British Edition. 223pp. Ocatvo [20.5 cm] Blue paper covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Good. Ex-library. There are four tape stains on the covers. Faint library stamps on the top and bottom edges of the text block. There are also initials on the top edge of the text block. The pastedowns have tape stains that run from the top to the bottom. The front free endsheet has been torn out. Small library stamp on the first page. The pages are clean. The dust jacket is in very good condition. The inside flaps are slightly darkened and abraded, obscuring a bit of the text. The rear panel has a couple of tiny abraded patches as well. From the description at the beginning of the book, "B. Traven's novels about the down-trodden people of Mexico- The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Death Ship, The Rebellion of the Hanged- have earned him a remarkable reputation, nearly 300 different editions, translation into twenty-three languages and phenomenal sales. They have also been made into memorable films.".
