(I have since found out who it is . . . Luciano Pavaroti) It's a beautifully done book in very good + condition and would certainly make a great gift for anyone interested in The Met and its operas over the years . . . even if it's you. This is the Centennial publication and takes us from the years 1883 to 1983. Thank you!. a Met artist/performer.

This group of items consists of the leather bound book signed by Brazilian soprano Balduina (Bidu) de Oliveira Sayao, Three long-playing Metropolitan Opera Guild records: Enrico Caruso (1976; Renata Tebaldi (1978); and the Metropolitan Opera 1976-77 Season containing LeProphete by Meyerbeer, Dialogues of the carmelites by Poulenc, Esclarmonde by Massenet and Lulu by Berg. Also incuded are a 5 x 6.5 inch relief bust of Caruso by Eliot Goldfinger. It is signed by Goldfinger and mounted on wood measuring 9 x 12 inches. Last is a mirror made by Neal martz to resemble the stage at the Metropolitan Opera House. It measures 9.5 x 10.5 inches Near fine. The former owner's name is ink-stamped on the center of each Lp and there are a few tiny dings on the frame of the mirror 1st edition. One of 1000 copies signed by a Met ar. Y. 4to.
