Contains prose, poetry and essays written by a group of New Haven literati and edited by Cornelius Tuthill, with an index at the conclusion, identifying the contributors as Henry E. Dwight, Nathaniel Chauncey, and James Percival. The contents include over 40 original poems, literary criticism, letters from the Western country (Ohio), prose sketches and general essays - including a series on the nature and character of dandies and an account of Mrs. Tabitha Busybody, "the she-politician." Volume 1 No. 1 March 21, 1820 to Volume 2 No. 50 September 8, 1820. 8vo., 200pp., later buckram. No illustrations, as issued. Blind stamp on titlepage and on a few internal pages, no spine numbers. Near Good, light wear, a few corners torn chipped (without loss); some foxing throughout, a few pages professionally repaired long ago.
