Printed broadside playbill, 14 ¼ x 4 inches, employing several sizes and styles of type. A typically busy playbill. Following the program for the first part are some eight individual acts or musical numbers, including "Fun in Blackville," "Going to Barnum's Ball," "The Wonderful Siamese Twins," and "Ed. C. Murphy in his greatest… song and dance, 'Nobody knows who'll git de fattest possum.'" Names of some performers are written in the margin in ink. A note at the bottom states. "The net profits will be devoted to the purchase of street lamps for the town of Bentonville." Ed. C. Murphy (ca. 1856-1905) was 'for twenty-five years a circus clown and vaudeville performer"; another obituary says "He had been in the business for the past thirty-seven years, having been with some of the largest theatrical companies and circuses" (cf. Circus Historical Society online). Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Very good.
