Normand was a French architect, designer, and engraver, who first published this work in 1819.Translated into English by Augustus Pugin. In a half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, a little rubbed. Bumping to the extremities, resulting in a little loss of leather, with a small amount of loss to the head of the spine. Cracks to the head and tail of the joints. Light age-toning to the extremities of the boards. Hinges are starting but firm. Spine is faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with scattered spots. Good. book.

Some wear to the extremities with chipping to the tail of the spine and rubbing to the boards. Scattered spotting throughout and particularly to the frontis. Binding firm. Illustrated with engraved decorative frontis and 66 plates complete, short tear to the edge of the last plate. An uncommon title.
