Original red cloth backstrip discoloured; bookplate. A handy guide written by a one-time apprentice of the Chiswick Press who rose to become a partner. This edition is enlarged from the first of 1892 particularly in the section of illustration methods which is thoroughly rewritten to take account of contemporary developments in photomechanical processes.

Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and pastedown. Sporadic mild creasing and marking. Boards have some edge wear, with mild bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and rubbed with slight surface loss. Boards rather rubbed and stained overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Uneven heavy tanning. Boards are slightly bowed. Book has a slight forward lean.
