Containing a fascinating array of lectures on the 'antiquities of Windsor', from the 'earliest days' to the end of the seventeenth century. With a charming red and black illustrated title page and frontispiece plate, with a monochromatic plate of the 'Round Tower Windsor 1660' facing page 103. This copy features attractive 'rustic borders' to the text throughout, and elaborate illuminated letters to the start of each chapter. Featuring a tipped-in bookplate of a 'G. H. Wyatt' to the front pastedown. In a full cloth binding, with elaborate blind stamped design to the boards and spine. Externally excellent, with minor shelfwear to extremities and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Slight fading to spine, and small sections of light rubbing to joints. Prior owner's bookplate tipped to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed. book.
