The conference's scientific focus centers on problem-solving paradigms inspired by natural models. Natural Computing employs metaphorical concepts and mechanisms from natural systems, such as evolutionary processes involving mutation, recombination, and selection, as well as physical phenomena like annealing and punctuated equilibrium. It also encompasses growth processes in nature and economics, collective intelligence in biology, DNA-based computing in molecular chemistry, and multi-cellular behaviors in neural and immune networks.
