From Preface: Pilot's Notes General consists of a collection of Notes for pilots of operational aircraft, supplementing the information contained in the Pilot's Notes for each type. Pilot's Notes General have been issued from time to time since June 1941, and have now been revised and rearranged in convenient order and grouping in this Second Edition, together with some additional Notes. Some of the Notes are applicable to all operational aircraft, entirely or with some modification on account of the special features of a type. These Notes should be read by all pilots. The information may have been absorbed in previous training, but new points may well be learnt. Moreover, views on the best practice are continually being revised and these Notes should be used to get the latest and most autoritative statement at the time of issue. Other Notes deal with special features, such as the tricycle undercarriage, and with special equipment, e.g. automatic pilots, which will be met on a number of types. The pilot who is to fly for the first time with a Sperry Gyropilot will find all he needs to know about it in one of these Notes and not in the Notes for the type of aircraft he is flying. The issue of Pilot's Notes General as a companion to Pilot's Notes for the various types of aircraft, has made it possible to shorten the latter considerably and so avoid burdening the reader with a mass of matter with which he may be quite familiar, while keeping this material equally available when needed. A very good copy of this pamphlet with descriptive section on flying notes, engines and propellers; accessories, and emergencies. Air Publication 2095.

Ring Bound. Zustand: Good. 4th Edition. The standard RAF pilot's notes. Contains a variety of replaceable instructions held within a three ring hard cardboard binder, no indication of how complete this is as numbers are not always sequential due to replacement, contains approximately 250 pages. This is the fourth edition, no date but the 3rd edition was issued in 1946 and editions were updated every 2-3 years. Name details and calculations to the boards. Rubbing to extremities of boards.

Bound in blue limp wraps, stapled/wirebound, with black titles to front cover along with RAF emblem, this 1946 Third Edition softcover is in Good condition. 181pp, Air Publication A.P. 2095, Prepared by Direction of the Minister of Supply, Promulgated by Order of the Air Council. Blue covers are tanned and dirty around edges of front and back covers, spine is tanned with a half inch missing at bottom, and a little less lost at the top. Front cover has some inked letters, and a half inch closed tear. So, a copy shows some use on the covers, but otherwise generally clean inside, and tightly bound.
