Buch Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Orange cloth with black spine titles; 8vo; 121pp; not illustrated; with an essay by Ernest Schwiebert. The evocative story of Woodland Valley Stream located in New York's Ulster County and a tributary to Esopus Creek, a famed Catskill trout stream. O'Neil, a professional writer, appearing regularily in the pages of Colliers, Saturday Evening Post, Sports Illustrated, Time and Life Magazines, called this area home. He was dubbed "Troutmeister" for his efforts in soliciting annual contributions used towards stocking his local waters. When he passed in 1989, his son Mike contined his father's "Woodland Trout Fund Letters" of which 20 are reprinted at the end of the book. A well-written story of eastern trout fishing. This uncommon title is in VG+ condition with the top edge of text block dusty, o/w a near fine copy.
