It develops novel shape from shading methods (referred to as Depth Hallucination) to add fine grain surface detail to the recon…structed models. Reconstructing this models allows to visualize them under varying illumination, including subtle effects such as surface self shadowing. The output from this software is a dense polygon mesh and corresponding albedo and normal and depth maps. It is presented a group of GPU algorithms for rendering such models in real time or at interactive frame rates. Moreover this models can be lit with realistic illumination acquired from the real world using light probe images. You can, then, capture some images from a building, a light probe in front of it and reconstruct the 3D model of the building, lighting it with realistic illumination and compare the results with the original images.

Alan Bond led a team of scientists and engineers who proposedusing a fusion rocket to reach Barnard's Star, only 5.9 light yearsaway. The trip was estimated to take 50 years, but the design wasrequired to be flexible enough that it could be sent to any of a numberof other target stars. Daedalus would be constructed in Earth orbit andhave an initial mass of 54,000 tonnes, including 50,000 tonnes of fueland 500 tonnes of scientific payload.
