[Please see my five images of the actual book.] There is a small chip from the bottom of the half-title page. The folding diagram on page 74 and the folding chart on page 282 are in fine shape. In the Dedicatory Preface to Monsieur Edouard Mathieu, the author reminisces about how they used to pass their leisure in examining aspects of what they came to call 'the Linguistic Problem': "In a recent letter you ask whether I have succeeded in correlating the various aspects of the problem in one homogenous system of linguistic pedagogy.
