These copies are from the library of Pynchon's editor, Ray Roberts, with his book label on the inside cover of each volume. Roberts was an influential editor with Viking, Henry Holt, and then Little, Brown, and he worked closely with John Fowles, Martha Grimes, Thomas Pynchon, and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. He began editing Pynchon when the latter went to Little, Brown, starting with his book *Slow Learner*. The archive contains: 1. *Mead* C1a1: *Mortality and Mercy in Vienna*.
