Cloth, dj, VG/VG. 365pp, large folding map, corners a little bumped, small stain to the bottom edge of the rear panel of the dustjacket which is not visible unless the jacket is removed, a nice copy. Export edition without a price to the dustjacket flap & printed by William Clowes, which is given precedence over the UK copies which were printed by Billings & Son. Textual errors present. ( 'asssembled' pp190etc ). The history of the earliest times in Middle Earth, and in essence both the first & last book written by Tolkien. He worked on the text throughout his life, changing & adding to it as he went. 650 grams.
