But, this small booklet is a promotional effort created by the George A. Zeller Book Company of St. Louis, Missouri, being a rather elaborate and clever advertisement in pamphlet format for "Spangenberg's Steam and Electrical Engineering", a book published by George A. Zeller. There are, indeed, numerous questions printed in the book, with the admonishing warning : "If you cannot answer EVERY ONE of the foregoing Questions, YOU need 'Spangenberg's Steam and Electrical Engineering' which contains 1035 Questions with their correct answers." Indeed, Spangenberg's book did cover all sorts of problems relating to electrical and steam engineering, including a chapter on locomotives. On the verso of the front cover is printed : ATTENTION - The following simple questions have been selected at random from examinations as given by different examining boards throughout the country and Canada - ONE THOUSAND AND THIRTY-FIVE (1035) QUESTIONS are asked and correctly answered in our new book "SPANGENBERG'S STEAM AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING" and all in the simplest and plainest manner ?
