This was a Frank O'Hara Award winner, and was the first book granted that prestigious title. The award was "specifically intended to encourage the writing of good new experimental poetry and to aid in its publication" (Jacket copy). Ceravolo was 34 at the time of publication, and a civil engineer as well as a poet.

The dustjacket is priceclipped and shows a short, closed tear with accompanying creases at the top front, a few spots of rubbing, particularly along the edges, and some chipping and creasing at the spinehead, but remains bright and attractive and is now protected in a clear sleeve.; Signed by Author.

This is the first book to win the Frank O'Hara Award for Poetry and is inscribed to Ron Padgett and family, Dec. 7, 1968. Padgett would later co-edit Ceravolo's book The Green Lake is Awake. The book is in fine condition, bright, clean, crisp with sharp corners. The jacket is very good with moderate shelf wear, a 1/4 in. tear to rear panel near spine and a couple of minor bends to the rear panel.
Zustand: good. A former library book with all the expected stamps, stickers and markings. Some shelf, storage or usage wear present. The binding is tight and all pages are present.
