Each cycle consisted of 1 hour heating at 900 degree C followed by 20 min. of cooling in air at room temperature. The kinematics of oxidation was established using weight change measurements for the bare and coated boiler steels. The oxidized samples were characterized using XRD, SEM/EDS, X-Ray mapping analyses. The coating was found to offer excellent oxidation resistance to the base steels. 64 pp. Englisch.
