The plot involves a plan to steal a million dollars from a Southeast Asian airfield. /Alan Emlyn Williams (1935Ð2020)[was an ex-foreign correspondent, novelist and writer of thrillers. He was responsible with a friend for smuggling Solzhenitsyn's manuscript of 'Cancer Ward' out of the Soviet Union where publication had been prohibited. Williams was a godson of Noel Coward and son of the actor and writer Emlyn Williams. Very good.
