Loosely inserted typed signed letter from the author to Victor Ross at reader's Digest, on Bodley Head paper, dated 30th October, 1979. The letter mentions a forthcoming documentary about the author's life. Original publisher's binding in blue with gilt lettering at spine; yellow dust jacket. / From the library of Victor Ross (1919-2021) an Austrian Jewish refugee from Nazi occupation who became Chairman of ReaderÕs Digest, Europe. He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96,000 (well over £1 million in todayÕs terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy. Fine in very good dust jacket. Dust jacket slightly used with a small tear at spine but no loss. Signedes.
